Solid Waste District Grants

The Cuyahoga County Solid Waste Management District offers two competitive grant programs to assist communities, schools, and non-profits with developing and promoting recycling programs:

Community Recycling Awareness Grant

Communities in Cuyahoga County may apply for grants up to $4,000 to promote recycling to residents. Funds can be used for brochures, videos, signage, etc.  Applications are due in February.  Interested communities should plan to attend an informational meeting to be held on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Solid Waste District office.  This grant (and the meeting) is only for municipalities, villages and townships.

Recycling Container Grant

Nonprofit organizations and schools in Cuyahoga County may apply for grants up to $2,000 to purchase recycling and composting containers to expand and improve recycling and composting programs.  Applications are due in February.  This grant is not for municipalities, villages and townships.
