Legal Notice: Scrap Tire Collection and Recycling Services
The Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District is inviting bids for Scrap Tire Collection & Recycling Services from Ohio EPA Registered Scrap Tire Transporters. A bid package can be obtained by calling (216) 443-3707. Sealed bids will be received at the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District located at 4750 East 131 Street in Garfield Heights, OH 44105 until 12:00 P.M. NOON, on April 18, 2014 and will be opened publicly and read aloud at that time and place. Bidders must submit two (2) copies of its Bid in a sealed envelope clearly marked “SCRAP TIRE COLLECTION AND RECYCLING SERVICES." Bids shall be valid for 180 days after the Bid opening date.

Recycling grants awarded to Cuyahoga County communities, schools, and non-profits
The Solid Waste District is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2014 Community Recycling Awareness Grant and its 2014 Recycling Container Grant. Grants totaling $195,476 were awarded to 37 communities and 27 schools and non-profit organizations in Cuyahoga County.

Contests and programs for schools offered this spring
