District seeks info for 2014 Business Recycling Survey
Per Ohio law, the District is collecting Commercial/Institutional and Industrial recycling information using a web-based survey system. The recycling information we are requesting is critical for state-mandated data reporting and solid waste management planning, and will be used for summary purposes only.
Cuyahoga County businesses are asked to complete the online survey by entering totals for any recycling generated by your business in 2014. Surveys should be completed by March 13, 2015. For questions, call (216) 443-3728.
Businesses can learn how to start recycling via free seminars
Businesses, non-profits, and schools are invited to learn how to start an in-house recycling program and save money by doing so. Free seminars will be held April 17, June 24, and September 24.
What's the deal with recycling in Cuyahoga County?
The items that can go in your bin (cans, glass, plastics, paper) is determined by the facility that your recycling is hauled to. Whether your recycling is picked up by your city or a private company, recyclables from Cuyahoga County go to one of three material recovery facilities (MRFs) in the area.
